Top 5 Favorite Coilovers

Any true car enthusiast has or covets one of thee best suspension mod for their car, that is the magical coilovers. They improve just about everything, looks, handling, traction, sex appeal, stability, and over all performance. Rumor has it that they also make all food taste better and make women hotter…So here is our Top 5 favorite coilovers. They fall in a general order, but we love them all the same. We aren’t gonna play favors in this list.

Moton

Motons are not for anyone with a heart condition ;)

These are amazing to say the least. Here is an excerpt from Motons site

The 4-way Adjustable Moton Damper features 15 positions of high speed bump adjustment, 6 positions of low speed bump adjustment, 15 positions of high speed rebound adjustment and 10 positions of low speed rebound adjustment….The canister pressure can be varied between 6-20 bar (100-350 PSI) to help support the car in high speed cornering with soft springs. Complete 4-Way adjustable sets are available for many applications or we can custom build struts and dampers to suit your requirements.

JRZ

The JRZ RS Pro’s are, for lack of vocab, sick. JRZ supplies to club, GT, and formula one racing. They make you sound cool when you tell people you have them “yeah, I got me some coilovers. What kind you ask ? Im riding ill on JRZ’s yo”

R35 GTR JRZ's

Ohlins

Not only do they come in a really nice color scheme, they preform as good as they look ! They make coilovers for a wide variety of cars, including Rally, Offroad, Touring, GT, Formula, Sports Cars, and Road & Track.

Ohlins DFV's

And if you own a motorcycle or four-wheeler they got you covered. Check out Öhlins technology page for tech specs. Ohlins also has the experience to back up their suspension, just have a look at their Hall of fame which consists of over 200 titles. And they are just limited to weekend race days either.

Cusco

If you don’t know who or what Cusco is or are thinking this is in reference to Cusco, Peru, you need to upgrade your brain matter. Here is quote from Cusco’s site. We will call it a Cusco proverb, just to give you a sense of cusco’s epic JDM-ness

A car that is hard to control is not fast. This is true whether on the track or the open road. Compared to road use, motor sports take place in very specific conditions and in an enclosed environment, which requires a set up that assures good speed within its limits. But ultimately the total balance of the car is what counts. The most important thing is to record a good lap time overall. A set up that allows the driver an easy and stress-less drive will enable a faster run.

The rare and beautiful Cusco Zero 3X coilovers

Ohh, we forgot to mention E-Con, our bad. E-Con is Cusco’s in cabin coilover controller

TEIN

Tein Super Racing's

Tein Dampachi !

Probably one of the most controversial pronunciations of ANY performance brand. And we are not kidding about that, just do a search in google for the phrase “how to pronounce Tein“, there is over 10,000 search results ! But this list isn’t about that.

Tein’s coilovers are one of the best “bang for buck” coilovers you can get your greedy little, performance part loving hands on. Whether you’re looking to spend a little or a lot and buy the $10,000.00 N1’s. They give an amazing drop and grip. Even maintaining their face punching grip as low as they can go.

Tein also offers an in-cabin dampening and rebound controller for their coilovers, called the EDFC.

Tein EDFC's FTW
